The Index of [Viewing Panels] in NYC
I’ve always been drawn to the “windows” on the construction fences in NYC. I had a closer look with my curiosity, and discovered a stunning array of different views, shapes, colors, and textures. After exploring about 100 sites from Brooklyn to Manhattan to Queens, I compiled my findings into a book called The Index of Viewing Panels on Construction Fences in NYC 2022.7. This project is not just a celebration of the often-overlooked beauty in our urban environment, but also a call to seek out the beauty in the mundane.
Every time I pass by a construction wall, I'm always attracted by those little "windows"
on it.
